Task:
To develop “Eco” cup.
For further dispensing of cold beer during the festival. Make a vessel with a capacity of 700 ml, which should be 100% eco-friendly. The design must have unique shapes and not be duplicated in the market. It is allowed to use only environmentally friendly materials. Mandatory application of the company’s identity.
Additional task: if possible, to make a soap dish in the same style as a cup.
Solution:
We chose bamboo milling. Several factors were the reason for this decision:
- Bamboo is a strong and reliable material with an inherently natural opening for liquid dispensing.
- The material is processed with ordinary sunflower oil, which simplifies product certification and further import/export of the product.
- Price segment analytics have shown that bamboo is the most budget-friendly option compared to other tree species.
- The texture and color of bamboo harmoniously blended into the concept of the client’s souvenir products.
How did we solve the logo issue? – Taking into account the fact that the texture of bamboo is fibrous, we realized that there is no way to paint the logo or stick it on the top of the product. After thinking and weighing all the pros and cons, the decision was made in favour of laser engraving on wood. We were pleasantly surprised by the result, thanks to a great extent to the soft texture of the bamboo.
